We are led by a founder with two decades of rapid-deployment defense engineering — a record of delivering complex protective hardware for U.S. and allied customers on compressed, in-theater timelines.
Our approach is deliberate: protect the intellectual property, validate the hard problems first, and engage the right partners directly. The program is patent-protected and advancing toward a field-tested prototype.

Christian Travert
Defense engineer and inventor with over 20 years of experience developing and delivering mission-critical protective systems for U.S. and allied forces. His work includes the rapid development and deployment of the Rhino Runner armored transport and hundreds of protective vehicle armor systems in Iraq. Christian leads NORTHVEIL's engineering, product development, and technical innovation.

Following the lineage of the great advanced-engineering “works” in defense, NORTHWORKS is NORTHVEIL SYSTEMS’ university research program — a dedicated environment for turning early concepts into validated, field-ready capability, developed in collaboration with the institutions producing tomorrow’s defense engineers.
Strategic Research Partnership · Florida Atlantic University
- Faculty engagement. NORTHVEIL is engaged with FAU faculty in the College of Engineering & Computer Science on the program.
- Research collaboration. NORTHVEIL and FAU are collaborating on technical development and validation of the program.
- Non-dilutive pathways. NORTHVEIL is pursuing National Science Foundation (NSF) and other non-dilutive research funding through university research partners.
- IP retained. NORTHVEIL accesses specialized engineering resources through FAU's research ecosystem while retaining full ownership of its intellectual property.
- Privately funded. NORTHVEIL's development to date is funded entirely by its founders, with no federal funding, keeping ownership of its core technology clear.
